How does employee engagement affect agency performance in the federal government? That\u2019s what the Partnership for Public Service and Boston Consulting Group set out to understand in \u201cA Prescription for Better Performance: Engaging Employees at VA Medical Centers.\u201d We analyzed data over a three-year period from nearly 150 medical centers operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and found a strong correlation between employee engagement and higher patient satisfaction, better service and more talent retention.
