Former Federal Employees Speakers Bureau<\/mark><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Following the widespread cuts to government programs and funding across the country, many people have questions about who government employees are and why their work matters locally. In fact, more than 80% of federal employees live and work outside the Washington, DC, area.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Partnership for Public Service, in collaboration with other organizations, has launched a speakers bureau of former federal government employees with an initial focus on public science.<\/strong> These speakers are uniquely positioned to talk to their local educational, civic, faith, media and other groups about the local impact of their past work as well as the consequences of recent federal workforce and policy changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet our speakers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our speakers live near the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Detroit\/Ann Arbor, MI; Milwaukee, WI; and Toledo, OH.\u00a0 They include former federal workers from an environmental engineer who protected drinking water to a public health leader who supported youth mental health programs. We are spotlighting a few of our speakers below.
