Heyman Service to America Medals\u00ae program recognized outstanding career federal employees at a time when the federal workforce faces unprecedented challenges. &nbsp;<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Partnership for Public Service recognized the 2025 Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals\u00ae <a href=\"https:\/\/servicetoamericamedals.org\/honorees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">honorees<\/a> at its 24th annual awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 17, at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center in Washington, D.C.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Service to America Medals\u2014known as the Sammies\u2014is <a href=\"https:\/\/servicetoamericamedals.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the premier awards program for career federal employees<\/a>, honoring exceptional public servants who keep our nation running and moving forward.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-the-sammies-matter-nbsp\">Why the Sammies matter&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ourpublicservice.org\/our-solutions\/recognition\/service-to-america-medals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Since 2002<\/a>, the program has recognized more than 800 outstanding federal employees, shining a spotlight on the remarkable accomplishments of the nonpartisan civil service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Sammies celebration comes at a critical time. The program welcomed leaders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors, including former Cabinet secretaries and former White House chiefs of staff from both parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the Partnership <a href=\"https:\/\/ourpublicservice.org\/press-release\/partnership-for-public-service-announces-honorees-for-the-2025-samuel-j-heyman-service-to-america-medals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recognized 23 individuals and teams<\/a>, selected from over 350 nominations. These honorees represent nearly 20 different agencies and subcomponents.
