The nonprofit, nonpartisan\u202fPartnership for Public Service<\/a>\u202ftoday released the following statement from President and CEO Max Stier<\/strong> in response to OPM\u2019s email to all federal employees ordering them to summarize their accomplishments for the week in five bullet points or face termination:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOPM\u2019s email on Saturday is yet another example of the new administration\u2019s contempt for public servants and public service that will lead to further confusion, anxiety and waste.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDemanding federal employees to summarize their work week in five bullet points by Monday evening or face termination is a\u00a0counterproductive distraction that OPM legally cannot even act on. Our government\u2019s main\u00a0mission is to serve the public and keep us safe, and unnecessarily terrorizing the two million workers responsible for this ultimately puts us all at risk. There are many strategic, productive ways\u00a0to make our government more effective that don\u2019t involve scaring our civil servants, and I urge DOGE and OPM to instead partner with them and consult their deep expertise in their efforts to reform our government.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
