The Partnership measures employee engagement and satisfaction\u00a0government-wide\u00a0as well as\u00a0within individual departments, agencies and subcomponents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the\u202fproject began in 2003, employee engagement was a niche human resources concept. It has now become a\u202fpriority for political and career leaders,\u202fgarnered attention in the halls of Congress\u202fand\u202fspun off into\u202finitiatives across the\u202ffederal government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agency leaders and staffs have expanded their knowledge of employee engagement, developing strategies and implementing changes to improve their workplaces. Their efforts that have paid off. Despite disruptions and challenges, including pay and hiring freezes, government shutdowns, budget uncertainty, political turmoil and increasingly complex missions, many agencies have made strides in engaging employees and creating more productive work environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
