We need a new generation of skilled public servants to keep us safe, respond to emergencies, design high-impact social programs and engage in cutting-edge research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the federal government is currently failing to recruit and retain them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our government is struggling for five main reasons: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Its brand is badly damaged. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The hiring process is long and complicated. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The pay system is antiquated. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
