Heyman Service to America Medals<\/a>\u00ae at the Kennedy Center, honoring some of our nation\u2019s most exceptional federal employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About 300 guests attended the event, which was emceed by Geoff Bennett of NBC News. Choy and Hinojosa also won this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/servicetoamericamedals.org\/peoples-choice-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">People\u2019s Choice Award<\/a>. Graham and Kizzmekia S. Corbett for their groundbreaking research that led to the development of a COVID-19 vaccine in record time. Their work formed the backbone of many of the COVID-19 vaccines in use today, including those made by Moderna, Johnson &amp; Johnson and Novavax.
