I\u2019ve spent a decade getting to know the important, nonpartisan work CEO Max Stier and the Partnership for Public Service are doing to revitalize the federal government and ensure that our country has the efficient, innovative and responsive federal government we deserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, I have been continually impressed by the effect the Partnership has had on presidential transitions, key legislation and the professional development of federal employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve seen the Partnership\u2019s dedication to its mission and what it has accomplished, and in 2010 and 2015 I was grateful for the opportunity to serve on the selection committee for the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honest, transparent and professional government has never mattered more to the success of our nation. Yet years of neglect, diminished capacity and leadership shortcomings have taken a heavy toll on the government\u2019s ability \u2013 and credibility. It is all our responsibility to help right those wrongs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must rebuild and revitalize our nation\u2019s most important democratic institution and ensure it has the leadership, talent, innovation and technology to tackle challenges and re-instill trust in all that it does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am investing $1.5 million in the Partnership\u2019s work because I know that it stands at the frontlines of our democracy\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I have traditionally supported organizations focused on trustworthy journalism, voter protection, women in technology and veterans, I know the Partnership\u2019s work is especially critical now as the organization works to ensure a peaceful and effective presidential transition<\/a> and implement its Ready to Serve<\/a> and Roadmap for Renewing our Federal Government<\/a> programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serving the public interest is serving our neighbors \u2013 and future generations who are relying on us. Join me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
