Although the COVID-19 pandemic limits our ability to show that gratitude in person, there are a variety of ways you can thank them\u2014from wherever you\u2019re living to stay safe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Send virtual thank you cards. <\/strong><a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/go.govloop.com\/2020-psrw-ecard?utm_source=optin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GovLoop<\/a> and <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/federalnewsnetwork.com\/partners-events\/may-we-say-thank-you-2020-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal News Network<\/a> offer free e-cards that you can send to federal employees and contractors during PSRW. Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to send these messages to their favorite federal employees to share their appreciation.<\/li><li><strong>Encourage children to share their support.<\/strong> Your little ones can make homemade thank you cards or fill in the Partnership\u2019s thank you <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/PSRW-Childrens-Activities_03.pdf\">coloring page<\/a> to recognize the work of public servants. Share a snapshot of their work on social media using #PSRW.<\/li><li><strong>Register for the 2021 Public Service 5K. <\/strong>The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund holds an <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/feea.org\/support\/public-service-5k-runwalk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">annual Public Service Charity 5K\/1M Walk\/Run<\/a> in honor of PSRW. This year\u2019s event was postponed to May 2, 2021, and you can register now. All proceeds from the event support the Federal Employee Education and Assistance fund\u2019s disaster relief, emergency hardship loan and scholarship programs. While you\u2019re waiting for next year\u2019s event, hold your own run or walk this week in support of public service. If you leave your home, be sure to follow the health and safety precautions recommended by the CDC.<\/li><li><strong>Plant a tree in honor of a public servant.<\/strong> The Forest Service partners with several organizations to help you <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/working-with-us\/donations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plant a tree in recognition of a loved one<\/a>. <\/li><li><strong>Share your support for #PSRW on social media.<\/strong> Take advantage of the Partnership\u2019s white board \u201c<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/I-Serve-Because.pdf\">I serve because\u2026<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ourpublicservice.org\">I appreciate public servants because\u2026<\/a>\u201d templates. Post these photos on social media using #PSRW and tag the Partnership. Follow the Partnership on <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/partnershipforpublicservice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a>, <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rpublicservice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Twitter<\/a> and <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/rpublicservice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a> to see these posts, and other highlights, throughout the week.<\/li><li><strong>Make a donation in support of public servants.<\/strong> The Partnership is stepping up to support federal leaders and their agencies as they respond to the urgent needs of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.
